My understanding is you can add more but my suggestion is buying a package with 8 cameras if that is what you want. Buying cameras separately is more expensive. I was told Arlo requires a service plan to be purchased if you have more than 5 cameras.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can have up to 5 cameras for free after that you will have to pay a monthly fee if you want to add more than 5 cameras on the same system. I Personally tried combining two different systems to avoid the monthly fees (10 cameras in total) and worked like a charm. The only thing is that you have to create two accounts and then merge/invite and approve full account privileges in one to the other one in order to be able to see all the cameras/bases in the same account.
