A:AnswerNo it doesn’t record unless motion is detected. There is also an option to record if it doesn’t detect motion, if you want to record something.
A:AnswerWhen I made this purchase the mounts were included in the package so I did not have to buy anything to mount them. Even the screws were provided
A:AnswerI’ve had the Arlo Pro 2 cameras for years (currently eyeing an upgrade to these 6th Gen cameras). The cameras will work down to around the stated lowest operating temperatures. Beyond that, worse case the camera will stop working temporarily until the battery is warmed back up a little/the outside temp rises a bit. It’ll give a message that it’s too cold and will resume function once the temp rises back up some. So far this winter in northern Ohio it’s gotten down to a few degrees below 0 at night but my cameras haven’t stopped functioning yet that I’ve noticed.
A:AnswerI've had my cameras up a couple of weeks so far. I have two outside GSD so they set the cameras off a lot. But I still have plenty of charge on my battery. There is an extra battery provided that gives me a backup but I plan on purchasing solar panels for my cameras
A:AnswerWe do with with Pro5s and Pro4 cameras, so almost certainly yes. HOWEVER, the battery stays charged at 100%, and since these are lithium ion batteries, charging them above 80% shortens their life. I suggest unplugging the other end of the cord and letting the battery run down to 20%, then plugging in to charge.
You could build a Home Assistant or other automation for this, or simply set a smart plug to charge the battery for 1-2 hours a week.
It is a real shame that Arlo doesn’t have a charge limit built in, considering at $50 each the batteries are very expensive relative to others (Dyson, iRobot). Of course, NOT having the feature makes them more money.
A:AnswerArlo cameras do not connect directly to TVs via cable, but they can display live streams on smart TVs using compatible streaming devices, apps, or voice assistants.
A:AnswerDepends on what you need. You can pay a subscription fee if you want recording kept for a period of time, but cameras and app work great without subscription.
