• I am not certain if the base station is needed, but I would imagine so since all of the cameras are wirelessly connected to the one base station. So my answer to the first part of your question would be, yes you need a base station. The app itself is free of charge to download and use. I would imagine that if you opt for premium services, there may be costs included with those premium services. As it stands, basic service is completely free.

• Yes the base is required and no the app is free and so is the monitoring for up to 5 cameras. After 5 they do charge.

• There is no charge for the app, only for the cloud service if you want it.
