• You can have 5 cameras on one router. Dark recordings are well.

• If you plan to use the free service, you are allowed up to 5-cameras. If you need more cameras than that, then you will have to pay a monthly or annual fee. Night vision is supposed to have a range of 25 feet. It's pretty good, but seeing precise detail like a license plate number may be difficult. I installed some battery powered motion sensor lights nearby to help out.
