“Are the Batteries a Standard Size/Type, or Proprietary? Rechargeable? I really have two questions: 1.) Are the batteries a standard size/type, or proprietary? If proprietary, then replacing them every few days or weeks would become cost prohibitive. 2.) Are the batteries rechargeable? If they are rechargeable and a standard type, then the only inconvenience would be placing the cameras where they could be easily accessed and maintained. Thanks in advance for any responses!”

• Cr123a batteries are closer to $2 per battery (not $5-7) and even cheaper in bulk

• The batteries are 123A.. So far the batteries have lasted 4 to six months depending on how much use the cameras get. If you buy cheaper batteries of course the time would be less. The Duracell Procell has continued to work the best. I buy the by bulk (10 packs) online through a battery website.

• The batteries are standard CR123 which are used in many other devices. They can be found online for about a doller each. You can also buy a rechargeable version for $3-$4 which is supported by the camera.

• Standard Lithium CR123A batteries. But you can use rechargeables if you prefer according to the manual.

• Based on the information found online, "these cameras take four CR123 or CR123A (same thing) apiece". These "quarter" sized batteries not your inexpensive AA's, probably $5-7 per battery, and are not typically rechargeable.

• Forget about what I said about buying another battery and charging it in one of the original cameras. Totatly different setup. Arlo was not right about doing this! How about selling the same camera that the Pro Package came with? Now you have to Buy Batteries.

• I have the Arlo Pro cameras. Batteries are rechargeable. I find this to be a far more economical approach. Recharging is very quick and you are back in business.
