A:AnswerI bought mine in April and asked these same questions at the store. They assured me everything was better. My experience is better than what other people had with the earlier releases. Cameras seem to need to be closer to the base station than the arlo pro 2 system. But otherwise, they are working fine. I am only using the cameras with power cords, as the cameras are hard to reach, and I don't want to keep charging up the batteries.
A:AnswerI have the Arlo 2. If your cameras are in a area with good sunlight try solar panels, I purchased 3 solar panels for $120. I've had for six months and they keeps my cameras fully charged. I also have some cameras that are in areas where there is no good sunlight and the solar panels didn't work. So I have these plugged in to a 110V outlet. I bought 30" extension cables on Amazon
A:AnswerPlease ensure to get the Arlo Ulta kit and not the add-on camera for it to come with a SmartHub and accessories needed for the camera to work. As for the minimum required device and internet speed to install the system, please check this article : https://kb.arlo.com/000062043/. ^RM

A:AnswerWe did not have the bandwidth needed to deploy system. This is a BIG issue! Am working on this with changing carriers to Xfinity, and new install date of 7/7/2020
A:AnswerSue,
According to the Arlo Ultra User Manual:
Your SmartHub accepts SDHC or SDXC microSD cards. We recommend using microSD cards with a minimum of 16 GB capacity, Speed Class 10, UHS-!, V10. Your Arlo SmartHub supports up to Class 10, UHS-3, V90.
I hope this helps.
A:AnswerNope. They give you the Arlo Smart Premier for 1-year which is 2k resolution. They don't give you the Arlo Smart Elite which is 4k resolution and should be the appropriate trial because this camera in theory can record 4k. I say in theory because I actually purchased this system 2 weeks ago (just returned it to BestBuy) and found out that it only recorded 1080p videos and the stored videos on the Arlo Smart Premier were also 1080p resolution.
