Q: QuestionWhat is the clear camera vision distance for day and night vision?
Asked by Suz.
- A:Answer The floodlight is engineered to detect motion within its 130-degree H FOV up to 23 feet. Arlo Pro 3 supports 2K video and HDR. 2K means you can see more details in every image, even when zoomed in, allowing users to capture more details that matter to them. HDR solves the problem of over exposed or under exposed images in a scene where there is both an extremely bright and extremely dark scene in the same picture. Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera automatically determines when HDR should be utilized and is even optimized for outdoor usage.^KN

Q: QuestionHow long will the battery last before a recharge is needed?
Asked by Battery.
- A:Answer Depends on the sensitivity that you set for the camera. Right out of the box, the camera was set to “80”. —- at the factory setting, maybe 1 week. I have my camera facing my street and sidewalk. So every time a car drives by or a person walks by, the camera picks them up - day time, night time, doesn’t matter. Though at night time the light turns on as well, using more battery than day time. I was going through the battery pretty quick - about 10 percent for every 24 hours - So, in 10 days it would be dead unless I changed something. I changed the setting 1 day after installing the camera. I turned the sensitivity down to “50”. No change in recording activity (that I can see). The battery usage dropped down to about 8 percent for every 24 hours. After 3 weeks installed I charged the battery at 38 percent. I bought a solar charger for the camera. This has been a big help for the battery. After charging the 38 percent battery to 68 percent (taking the battery off and charging it in the house), the solar charger brought the battery up to 82 percent. Afterwards, the battery charges when sunlight is on the solar panel, the battery percentage goes down during the rest of the day and night and recharges the following day when the sunlight is on the solar panels. If you make no changes to the factory settings and you live on a busy street, you will have to charge the battery frequently. If you put the camera in a less active area, then you won’t have to charge the battery as often. It just depends..... Good luck!

Q: QuestionThis is for internal use only. Can i turn off floodlights? I don't want a police-type setup.
Asked by Curious.
- A:Answer You can configure the unit to record video only and not turn on the floodlight when motion is detected. However, if you don't plan on using the floodlight, you could save some money by purchasing one of Arlo's cameras without the floodlight.

Q: QuestionDoes the Solar Panel work with this model?
Asked by Jynx.
- A:Answer You can also use the Arlo Solar Panel accessory to connect your Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera to continuous power. The solar panel uses direct sunlight to keep your battery charged. The solar panel is weather resistant, comes with an 8-foot magnetic power cable, and an adjustable mount. The maximum brightness of your floodlight does not increase when your Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera is connected to an Arlo solar panel: https://shop.arlo.com/accessories.ultra/VMA5600-10000S.html ^KN

Q: QuestionHow long does the battery last on average.
Asked by Bobsyouruncle.
- A:Answer The manual said battery can be 60 days. I live inside of circle with light traffic area. I set 30% of brightness to save battery usage with 1 minute recording time, best battery life on Power Management. My 3 weeks user experience is that battery only can stay approximately 2 weeks. Overall product is good, but I am very disappointed battery life. I not sure if it is Arlo Marketing strategy to force users to buy their accessories. Arlo solar panel cost $80+tax.

- A:Answer An Arlo SmartHub or base station is optional. You can connect your Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera to a VMB5000 or VMB4540 SmartHub or to a VMB4500 or VMB4000 base station. You can place the Arlo Pro 3 Floodlight Camera a maximum of 300 feet (90 meters) from the SmartHub or base station. The maximum line-of-sight range of 300 feet is reduced by each wall, ceiling, or other major obstruction between the camera and base station.
