• It is a fairly good receiver. (the AM signal of course depends on which station you are listening to. ) It works best when the headphone wire is not near devices such as Microwaves motors etc

• The reception is especially good on the AM channel.

• I find that this little radio is NO better than any of the others I have tried for AM stations. I just make do with a fading-in-and-out signal when I want to listen to my boring talk radio in the wee hours. I have NEVER found a small radio suitable for AM radio.
