• You are supposed to be able to update firmware on the base station and the headphones using a PC, and this should remove the need for the optical cable. Does it work, seems that it does for some but not all. Plus side is Astros support isnt the worse so if you have problems they should be able to help you.

• Yes they do work with the series x without a optical cable they did a firmware update if you buying the ps5 a50s then you will need to order a 40 dollar hdmi adapter from ASTRO ASTRO them to work fully

• There is no Optical cable on the Xbox Series X, and it doesn't work without it.
