This is intended as a competitor to entry level / education level Chromebooks. For that task it is perfect. If you plan on installing many programs beyond Microsoft Office; if you are considering large local file storage; then you really need 64gb-128gb of storage and probably 4gb of RAM. This 2g/32gb model presupposes use of cloud storage, installation of Microsoft Office, and some minor, small utility programs - for me, even installing Chrome Browser around 600mb becomes a "storage budget" question. SD cards and flush mounting thumb drives are not nearly the solution you expect them to be - certainly not useful for running programs. The HP Stream 14 with 4gb/64gb is a much better starting place. The Stream 11 generally only comes with 32gb of storage, although you do get 4gb of RAM. If you shop competitors, or the earlier edition e203MA, is ESSENTIAL to get the much speedier N4000 processor than the now obsolete N3060 processor which lacks speedy hardware based HEVC decoding, encoding, and transcoding. In Asia, Asus offers higher spec'd 203's with more storage and RAM, but over here these are essentially classroom/Starbucks thin and light netbook solutions.
