This is a very small laptop. No disc drive and only has 1 USB port as far as I can remember. Not much memory, so it would be recommended to use cloud storage or have an external HD with you to store documents. Its comparable to a Chromebook. You can use it to go online and write papers, but I'm not sure using it for any graphics intensive programs such as Adobe would be advisable.
