“For those who have purchased, is there a film on the screen? I see a dot matrix pattern and the screen is very hard to clean without looking smudgy. My first impression is that there was some initial packaging film on the screen.”

The laptop is shipped with a peel off film covering the screen. I have left mine on, but you can certainly remove it.
