“compatibility i own a Gateway DX4860-UB32p desktop with corei3 processor and integrated graphics.would this monitor work with my computer,or do i have to get a new graphics card.I dont want to use it to play games.I only want to use it to surf internet,and watch movies/videos..thank you”

The question is not so much compatibility but rather if you'll get the full benefit of the monitor. That would depend on the resolution that your graphics card can do. Another issue to consider is the video out on your desktop. The monitor has HDMI as well as DVI connections so you should be fine in that sense.
