After powering down last night and powering up today, my keyboard and backlight are completely unresponsive. No driver reinstall or uninstallation has helped. System restore to two weeks ago is no help. Why has this happened? It's brand new. null

You have to install the updates directly from Asus and it works, I had the same issue.

Did you download the update that ASUS issued for this? If you did and that didn't fix it, you might of just got a faulty keyboard which does happen sometimes. Manufacturer error.

You must create a backup using Acronis to have in this scenario _ 32Gb flash drive boot and never again will have any issue
