Yes, and it can be set to different brightness levels.

It does, but you have to manually toggle it. A lot of people don't realize this, which is why you'll sometimes see people saying that there's no backlight. It's pretty easy. Two of the F keys turn the backlight on and off. You can even adjust the brightness.
