This router has great security features. sounds like your ping problem would have more to do with your modem.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is always that risk of getting hacked. I believe this will help, as long as you set it up with a secure password. The modem needs to be kept secure as well. The ping rate will be effected by more than just the router. Make certain you have correct ethernet and coaxial cables as well. I suggest RG6 coaxial and I also purchased CAT8 ethernet cables.
