“I was wandering since this is a gen 2 motherboard I was wandering if this motherboard also supported gen 3 processor such as the AMD ryzen 5 3600 which I'm wanting to use with this motherboard, but I wasn't sure if they were compatible.”

I reccomend you get the MSI B450 tomahawk max or tomahawk those boards support 3rd gen ryzen out of the box and have bios flashback. This board doesnt have bios flashback so you need a 2nd gen ryzen chip to make it work out of the box. Also (this board doesnt have a great vrm heatsink so you will be limited with overclocking).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, you might possibly have to do a uefi bios update but you should be able to at least post with it in and plugged into Ethernet. I just got mine a few days ago and runs like a charm this far.
