• Got mine today and it came with two 8Gb 1Rx8 ram modules. No more x16 it seems :)

• Yes, they fixed the ram issue with the updated model. 16gb of 3200mhz ram, upgradable to 32 per asus' website, but some forums are reporting 64gb is possible. This thing is butter smooth, I bought one for work travel and zero complaints except for the storage, which I popped a 2tb m.2 into the second slot.

• The RAM support is a DDR4-3200 SODIM. The RAM doesn't affect the performance or refresh rate of the display.
