I would avoid a WIFI connection for a second router. Find a way to get an Ethernet cable over to it from your main router. That is if you want reliable service. TWO routers can work seamlessly together in the same house. There are many tutorials out there to help with that. Best way is to buy a second Asus router using AI-Mesh to set it up.
