I have this plugged into a USB 2 port on an HP laptop and it works fine on both 2.4ghz and 5.0ghz. I did make sure to download the latest drivers for it. I did notice I had to sign in on both bands when I first set it up or if the router goes off-line for some reason.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I just got this working on Ubuntu 16.04 and it only showed as 144Mbps. I googled and found out that I had to have my SSID have 2 names. The already had generic names SSID [name]1, SSID [name] 2, etc. but I re-named them SSID [name]-2.4 & network [name]-5 and now the wifi is at 867 Mb/s because it then has two SSIDs to select from instead of having just one SSID, then it will default to the slower speed. Not sure if they need the 2.4 and 5 in the name but at least it is at top speed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the 5 GHz port showed up on the selection list and when I clicked on it and entered the password connected right up. I am using the 3.0 port. did not try the 2.0 port
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.it should do both
