“I have an older iMac which doesn't have blue tooth (lots of USB ports). Can I use this adapter to connect Apple booth tooth ear buds etc? As from plugging in the dongle, what set up is required for the dongle to connect with the ear buds/ Thank you.”

Unfortunately this device only supports Windows and Linux based PCs. https://www.asus.com/us/Networking/USB-BT500/specifications/
