A:AnswerMore information needed. Is the garbled email appearing on a specific application, such as Outlook, or on a browser window? I suggest trying another browser or application for email. This will help narrow down the cause.
A:AnswerI could not find this exact model on the website either. But this one is very close and does have the military grade. This one is faster than the one I found. It is correct model 1603 with AMD Ryzen 7. You may have to call ASUS to get a better answer. Here's the link I found: https://www.asus.com/laptops/for-home/vivobook/vivobook-16x-m1603-amd-ryzen-4000-series/
A:AnswerUpdate: I hear you need to find a Ubuntu distribution that has the drivers (particularly the iGPU drivers) bundled in the binary. It’s tough to find obscure AMD GPU drivers online downloadable. However as time goes on, AMD is upping its game. Still, AMD will support its standalone dGPUs better than its iGPUs for things like Unix/Linux.
A:Answerfound in already answered questions, hopefully helpful?
Q: QuestionDoes this laptop have a usb c that supports a/v output?

A:Answer The ASUS Vivobook 16 (M1603QA) does not support external displays via any USB port. In order to connect an external display you would need to use the HDMI 1.4 port.

A:AnswerWrongo Asus. You can replace the 4 GB RAM stick with a 16 GB RAM stick to get to 24 GB total. As to screen size, that’s still a partial mystery (apparently even to Asus staff), but probabilistically speaking (based on sampling of answers to other questions) it looks like maybe WUXGA or 1920 x 1200. The external HDMI port might possibly support up to QHD though, and QHD monitor prices are coming down.
A:AnswerNo SebastianS, 32 GB is perfect for a laptop and 16 GB is minimal these days. My suggestion is the BB GA402XV-G14.R94960 Zephyrus 2023 model with 7940HS CPU and 16 GB RAM then upgrade RAM to 48 GB (list $1600 on sale now and often for $1200). If 32 GB is enough for you and also you prefer the spiffier 2024 model Zephyrus G14, then get the version of Zephyrus G14 with “(New)” in the title and the 8945HS CPU but be sure to get the one with 32 GB RAM and RTX 4970 dGPU that lists at $2000. This model will occasionally sell out between now and Black Friday so don’t expect a discount for awhile. For those that can live (forever - no upgrade on RAM - they stole a page from MacBooks albeit much better deal than MacBook) with 16 GB, get the $1500 2024 Zephyrus G14 with 8945HS CPU and RTX 4060 dGPU. BTW the 8945HS CPU is about the same as the 7940 CPU but with a 16 TFLOP NPU AI engine instead of a 12 TFLOP NPU.
