The ASUS X1704ZA often includes a 1-month trial for new Microsoft 365 customers. After the trial, you'll need to purchase a subscription to continue using Microsoft Office applications.

P.S. (I always forget to include this one): there is also what is called a "Basic" version of MS Office (now called Microsoft 365) that costs $2/mo. So you have many choices, from free to complete family for each computer.

Asus's reply is incomplete. You can also: (1) Buy a complete copy of the MS Suite. This includes buying the prior version, which is a great savings, especially since most people don't need all the newest bells and whistles. (2) Use Word, Excel. and PowerPoint, through the browser, to a limited extent. (3) Download the free suite, Kingsoft.

Microsoft now requires you to purchase a subscription to use the office programs (word, excel, access, powerpoint, etc)
