Theres a button to light up the keys. The button is F7.

A keyoard skin not only protects your keyboard from dust, food, etc, it also fixes the problem of seeing the keys! It also prevents the key letters from wearing off. All around highly recommended for about $8-10. A proper well-fitting one won't even feel like a skin.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I printed very small symbols from a brady printer and stuck them on the keys, so as to not cover the back lit keys. I couldnt agree more with you, they are next to impossible to see unless your in a dark room. product engineers missed the boat on this problem
