• No, this model and other ASUS models have good cooling system in order to dissipate heat efficiently. The battery life is approximately 10 hours of light to medium workload.

• The battery has not yet gotten hot; however, I do use a lap pad cooler just as a precaution. Battery life cannot be answered at this time.

• It does get hot. I wouldn't trust ASUS on their answer. They claim battery life up to 10 hours, but only does 3 hours if you are lucky. The air intake is at the bottom of the laptop so if you put in on your lap, it will block the air flow and get uncomfortably hot
