I don't know if your still looking for an answer but hopefully I can be of a little help. Technically the drive should work with Macs however the included software only works with PCs. What that means is that the drive should still work with Macs (at least it claims so on the box) and will read CD, DVD, and Blu-ray discs, just you will need to download third-party software to work with the drive I believe. In other words, if you just want to view your pictures and download them then I believe you should just be able to connect the drive to your mac and then put in your discs. Hopefully then you should see the drive as a connected device and be able to access the disc. Once there, you should be able to download your pictures. However I'm on PC so I'm not for certain but I believe you can download them without extra software. If you want to listen to music or watch movies then you will need a media player if one isn't already installed. In that case, VLC Media player is free and open source and works with Mac. Burning discs and ripping CDs will require other software. That is very long winded but hopefully it is of some help.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it does work with Macs to download old photos from a CD.
