“How smooth does seamless hand off work? Eg if using iPhone and Skype/ facetime with node 1, then you move to another area that is closer to node 2, does it drop connection during handoff? I heard of issues that handoff is not so smooth with iOS devices.”

Interestingly, I'm in the process of dealing with Asus support on this very matter. While hand-off from the primary node (ie. "router"), to the mesh node in the back of the house is very seamless. This applies equally to my Windows 10 laptop (Lenovo Yoga), as well as my android & iOS devices. However, the same can NOT be said in the other direction, as the mesh node doesn't hand-off to the primary node. it's not that it sometimes works, and sometimes doesn't work...the problem is that, from mesh node, to primary node, it NEVER hands off.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think that the handoff has been generally smooth enough for me with my four nodes. I normally only use my Iphone XS Max to move around the house and haven't really noticed any significant problems with moving from one node to the next.
