Yes - I have my satellite link to the main router using a Cat5e ethernet cable. Works great.

WiFi 6e is about wireless dedicated backhaul so you dont have to do that. That being said dont know how the fireplace will impact your mesh network. it could be.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a basement surrounded by thick concrete and have placed one router there and it connects to the Internet modems ethernet port. The other router is outside in the backyard and it uses the wired uplink port to the 1st router in the basement. Using the wired uplink was better as the thick concrete (1 foot thick) walls did weaken the signal.
