Does base station still work if power goes out. null

The base station answering machine and display will not work if the power goes out, but the base station phone will continue to work.

No, the handset base station requires a constant power source.

This model is new to me but a similar model I had did work when the power went out, however, the time, etc. may disappear but then reappear once power was back.
