Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, it is the full Callerid display, subscriber name and calling phone number. FULL DISCLOSURE THOUGH: it can only display what is sent, and what is sent is sometimes incomplete or even inaccurate. Many business phones and some internet phones go through various pieces of electronics that fail to forward the ID; and there are "spoof" (phony) phone number sending devices used by scammers, so the number displayed then is NOT the actual number originating the call. (I once had my very own phone number displayed, as though my phone was calling my phone!). CallerID started as an electronic tracking device for Bell System billing, originating phone, receiving phone, start time, end time. If a Boston customer questioned a bill for a call to or from San Diego, both Pacific Bell and New England Tel had means of verifying the call. When local mechanical offices were upgraded to electronic, it became possible to forward the originating phone number to the receiving phone.
