“Does the Caller ID work because of the phone, or do you still have to get caller ID from the phone company ? Thanks”

• Caller id works on its own. Although you need double a batteries to power up the display. Also note that the display doesn't have a back lit and it may seem dark looking from certain angles.

• Whoever provides your 'landline' phone service has to provide a "caller ID" option. Then we you connect or use a 'caller ID capable phone, this feature will automatically work. So, the caller ID feature of your phone will not work unless your phone service has this option.
