“how low can i adjust the volume of the person that is talking to me? i'd like to be able to adjust it to the point i can't even hear them. i wouldn't turn it that low but you know what i mean.”

Adjusting the volume is somewhat difficult, especially if you are hearing impaired. Unfortunately, I could not find a way to accomplish what you are trying to do. maybe someone else might be able to assist you with your issue. Sorry.
