- Answer Yes. Standard landline phone service will work. This all has been standardized so everything works together since the 60s. Special services from your phone company might not, but basic calling will.

Questionhow low can i adjust the volume of the person that is talking to me? i'd like to be able to adjust it to the point i can't even hear them. i wouldn't turn it that low but you know what i mean.

- Answer Adjusting the volume is somewhat difficult, especially if you are hearing impaired. Unfortunately, I could not find a way to accomplish what you are trying to do. maybe someone else might be able to assist you with your issue. Sorry.
