• They are for sending optical audio signals from one dsvice to a receiver or other unit. Eliminates potential signal loss utilizing light instead of electrical impulses to transmit an audio signal.

• It provides an audio link between your TV and AV Receiver so you can listen to a streaming service that you access directly from your Smart TV. For example, some cable boxes do not provide a 4K HDR signal that the internet/Smart can through streaming services. You will need to switch to TV speakers without the optilink. The optilink will allow the audio to come through your AV receiver.
