No this is only for a mini toslink input/output such as on a 2006 to 2012 macbook.

Unless your speakers have a built-in DAC and an optical digital input, you will need a DAC to convert the digital signal from the TV into an analog signal for the speakers. Our Beetle DAC would be the perfect solution.
