• I can tell you I tried using this for 3.5mm audio to optical connection and it did not work. Don't waste your time or money. Find another solution

• This is a digital cable. It can be used with the digital port on your TV but it would not connect to your headphones as they are analog. If you want to be able to connect your headphones to your TV, the AudioQuest Beetle DAC (Digital to Analog Converter) would be the ideal solution.
