No, it knows when your home by your phones WiFi connection and the Bluetooth so it knows when you leave and remembers that, then when you return home it sees your Bluetooth reconnected and your phone also reconnected to your home Wi-Fi and let's you in, this all happenes as your approaching the door so by the time your reaching for the door knob its unlocked.

So your door only automatically unlocks when you reenter your space. For example, my apartment has thick concrete walls, is on the 5th floor and directly by the elevator and here is how it works as I return home: In elevator on 1st floor the door remains locked (I'm inside the geofence but I'm not in bluetooth range of the door) In elevator on 5th floor, as the elevator reaches the 5th floor and the door opens I am now in bluetooth range AND I'm inside the geofence so my lock unlocks automatically After entering the apartment the lock autolocks after a specified interval As I go to the back of the apartment I drop out of bluetooth range but I'm still in the geofence, so the lock doesn't register me as being away. Since I'm not away, auto unlock does not apply. It will only work when I'm re-entering from outside of the geofence AND I get close enough to the door to be in bluetooth range as well. Shutting off your phone or going into airplane mode also doesn't seem to trigger any false unlocks. This has been my experience. I don't think I've ever found the lock to be unlocked when it should have been locked. Sometimes, however, auto unlock will fail to work. There is certainly an algorithm controlling the unlock behavior and I'd say it is tuned in fairly well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it only arms the Auto Unlock after you’ve gone at least 2 blocks away from your house with your phone
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No it won't. It use a feature called Geo fence. Once you're inside a certain location, auto unlock is turned off.
