The little manual tells you if you have a reading too high to wait for a couple of minutes before retesting. I have seen it with a pretty high reading, so I would say “yes”, taking that first sentence into consideration. I would be very careful with that “no matter the amount” part, though. Someone should test themselves before they get to that point, and stop accordingly.

unfortunately I have tested it after a drink or two, hours earlier and it just shows zero. I don't think an inexpensive unit like this is, that sensitive, especially on the low end of the scale, in my experience.

We tested it on ourselves and it detected alcohol for as few as two drinks.

Yes, although there are certain things like mouthwash that can cause a false fail, that is easily remedied by swishing the mouth with water and waiting a few minutes or so. With alcohol it doesn't work that way and will show a positive and the alcohol level.

Product only measures up to .20 where .08 is legal limit in my state of Illinois. Must wait 20 minutes after last consumption of any liquid or food before testing as particles in the mouth other than saliva can alter readings.
