A:AnswerNot by itself. You can't take a picture and upload it to the printer to get what you're looking for. There are, however, software and hardware tools that will create a 3D print file for you. There are some that will do the creation for free, but most software will charge a nominal fee for this. They also make 3D scanners which basically are cameras that scan and create a 3D image of whatever you put in front of them. I haven't used one, but depending on the scanner you get, they can do a really good job as well.
A:AnswerHO scale (about 1:87) requires detail that is hard to achieve on any FDM printer (like the P2S). I have printed out scenery and buildings that came out quite nicely, but trying to print out the tiny people that wander around is pushing the limits of an FDM printer. My friends use a RESIN printer instead to get more detail.
If your ambition for your HO layout is that it looks good to a camera and looks good from 5 feet away you will be very happy with the quality you can from from the P2S.
A:AnswerI personally get PLA+ from Kingroon, Elegoo, and Sunlu. PLA+ is tough and I've even had parts in the truck throughout the summer without issues. PLAs I used years ago did not hold up well, but I've heard they are better now.
