“I have a Samsung 42" tv. Can it be used if I purchase a mount, or does it need to be a new tv? Also, I'm planning on mounting above a fireplace, is it possible to hide all necessary wires with this mount style?”

The Geek Squad did place an older TV on a mount for us. They, also, mounted a new TV above our fireplace. They did tell us not to use the fireplace until we put in a mantle, otherwise the sound bar could burn out.

We can also mount above a fireplace, but that can sometimes make hiding the wiring a bit tricky.
