i think geek squad will take them back and fix it, but they won’t give you a brand new pair. if you go to apple and you don’t tell them that they are refurbished and they are messed up, apple will give you a BRAND NEW PAIR for FREE if there’s no signs of physical damage.

Geek Squad can send them off for service, but you will have to pay for the replacement. They are sent directly to Apple and replaced with refurbished ones; Apple does not send back new units as replacements.
