Yes. The watch band rests behind the phone. It's designed specifically to allow for this as the section behind the phone is contoured away from the back of the phone to allow for the short end of the watch band to be positioned behind the phone without the phone touching the band. Great design.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I don't see any way for you to use the nightstand mode with this charger - the wrist bands would be in the way and there is no way to keep the watch in any specific alignment - it's just a round magnetic surface.

I do have to remove my protective cover but the iPhone fits vertically and there is plenty of room for my future Apple Watch. I am enjoying it next to my bed in the evening so I can have Apple Music on before my sleep. I highly recommend this product.
