No, it won't slow it down.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It shouldn't to my knowledge. I have used a CAC reader (not this one specifically) for the last year and have not noticed my computer slow down due to the reader itself.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This card reader should not effect the performance on your computer, regardless how minimal its specs are.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The quick answer is no. It is hard to tell in an Enterprise environment whether or not this reader is actually causing any delays in your CPU. So the quick answer is no, it will not slow the computer down at all (noticeably). Now if you notice a delay in booting the CPU, that is more likely because the USB bus is causing the delay. Most times the delay is only on the first reboot after installing the reader (again if at all).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I use this card reader on my Windows 10 Computer and I don't notice any change in the way my system runs. It is just a piece of external hardware so I don't know why it would affect the performance of your computer in anyway given its setup and use. You should experience no computer problems IMO.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. When READING DATA the computer CPU and MEMORY are being utilized. If the computer has sufficient memory to MULTITASK it should be fine UNLESS your data on the card is MASSIVE.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It should not. However if you use a smart card or cac you might have to enter your pin at regular intervals. Every 5 minutes or so depending on your system setup.
