Press and hold PROGRAM for 3 seconds. The LCD will show PM or AM and the current strength will flash (starts at ONE). Press PROGRAM again to select TWO or THREE strength, or you can even select 3-4CUP MODE after that. Once you've gotten to your selected strength, it'll flash for 5 seconds and then retuns to standby. (Step 10 on page 9 in the user manual)
