Of course that person will have to use it for a purchase at Best Buy to get the value from it. Because of that inconvenience, the person you are bartering with might not honor the "face value" of the gift card (for example, they might only give you $85 worth of merchandise or services for a $100 gift card). Additionally, you will have to prove to the person that the card is valid for the amount you say it has. Lastly, unless they know and trust you, they would have to use the card for a purchase immediately, otherwise you could still use the card yourself by being a disgusting cheat.
