I use it for expansion on my computer, especially for multiple back up hard drives and data cards from camera, including video, which are huge files. I have had no issue with the conversion of power strength, and it works flawlessly. Also, the USB ports seem to be better constructed than the ones on the front of my computer. I plug and unplug all the time and I've never had an issue. I've been using it for some time now. It still works flawlessly.
