Yes, that was a scratch protection film. It was intended to be removed. I don't think it would affect your signal much either way though.

Please try again later.This might be an optional thing for one but I decided to take the plastic bag off if that is what you’re referring to , I did however leave the plastic on , the antenna if you look closely there’s the pull tab on the top edge and there’s (no dust to wipe off either)

Wasn't sure where i wanted to stick it up on the wall, so i used paints tape and just too lazy to switch it out...lol! It's been 5 months and still holds. Good luck!
