Do I need to have a SMART TV to use this antenna? null

You do not need a smart tv but it does work with one. I have one on a seven year old 720 tv works great. Another one on a smart tv I purchased last year works great on that as well.

It does not need to be a smart TV though I do think you will have to have a digital tuner. If your TV is at least 720p or 1080 HD you should be good to go.

It will work on a TV that is not a Smart TV.

You need a TV that has a built-in tuner for Digital TV or a Digital TV Converter Box if your TV does not have a built-in tuner.
