Total Tech is a yearly subscription that must be renewed each year (through Best Buy). You would be covered by both Samsung and Best Buy for the first year. You would have to renew the Total Tech membership, without any lapse - to get the 2nd year of coverage. Total Tech should provide additional technical support (from Best Buy) for most products, regardless where the item was purchased.
