While My Best Buy Total™ does include discounts on certain services for repair, the coverage for hardware itself is tied to the individual protection plan for each of your devices. My Best Buy Total™ does include up to 2-years of protection on new qualifying purchases you make while a member, so for devices that have that coverage, there is often coverage for the battery.
